Storm Science - An Exciting Educational Event for Homeschool Students in Central Illinois

Last week, the Illinois Homeschool Resource Center was honored to host Storm Science - the top-rated weather assembly available. What a fun experience!

The presenter, Nick, shared incredible stories, fascinating information, and showed off some amazing experiments! He was engaging, energetic, and had the kid's full attention the entire time.

The kids learned about what makes a tornado and the different classifications of tornados.

They learned about how hail is formed, thunderstorms, and storm safety. The lightning demonstrations were a highlight of the day.

Then, the grand finale was when Nick created a storm inside the gym! The kids roared with excitement!

Everyone left the event with a greater appreciation and understanding about the weather we experience everyday.

Part of our vision for the IL HRC is to continue to host events like these to enhance and supplement each homeschool family's journey. I know I would never be able to create a storm inside my living room, so I'm thankful our kids had this opportunity.

Storm Science was so fun, we definitely plan to do it again in the future!
