It's time to remind our legislators that homeschooling continues to be alive and well in our state. Join ICHE as we gather at the Capitol in Springfield for our 35th annual Cherry Pie Day! We encourage support groups, co-ops, and individual homeschooling families to bring cherry pies to Springfield.

About the event
Illinois Cherry Pie Day, hosted by Illinois Christian Home Educators (ICHE), will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Illinois State Capitol in Springfield.
This event is an opportunity for homeschooling families to engage with state legislators, learn about the legislative process, and advocate for homeschooling rights in Illinois. Families will have the chance to meet with their representatives, tour the Capitol, and hear from speakers discussing homeschooling and civic involvement.
A highlight of the day is bringing homemade cherry pies to share with legislators and their staff, fostering goodwill and strengthening relationships between the homeschooling community and state officials.
