Why we started the IL HRC

Homeschooling can be isolating. Many families struggle to find curriculum, encouragement, and community.

The Illinois Homeschool Resource Center was created to change that — a place where families can find books, support, events, and friendships rooted in faith and family.

Curriculum

Come visit our bookstore where we have over 2000 used books and items available for your homeschool.

We are also taking curriculum and book donations!

Community

Don’t homeschool alone! Co-ops not for you? Worried about meeting likeminded homeschool families? Look no further than the IL HRC!

Part of our mission is to provide a friendly and encouraging space for homeschool families to connect and have community in.

Opportunities

Some things are hard to do at home (like shop class and art). At the Illinois Homeschool Resource Center, we will provide exciting opportunities for kids to learn and grow.

Our Mission

The Illinois Homeschool Resource Center empowers Christian homeschooling families with-centered resources, community support, and educational opportunities. Committed to biblical values, we provide tools for nurturing children's potential and fostering lifelong learning. Through our bookshop, workshops, consignment services, and events, we aim to glorify God and inspire a thriving homeschool community in Central Illinois and beyond.
