The Grade 2 spelling workbook has 34 two-page exercises with 12 words in each (except for review lessons). Each lesson has 2 main parts. Part A teaches the new words using synonyms, antonyms, definitions, picture clues, context clues, and categories. Part B teaches phonetic patterns such as beginning and ending sounds, long and short vowels, consonant blends, digraphs, double consonants, syllables, plurals, verb forms, and suchlike.
